The melting floe

Blea Tarn was a first location of winter workshop focused on Scotland. We arrived to the Lake District in the northern England at the late evening before a day an image taken. We were looking forward to the morning when we wanted to capture first light in the contrast with blue ice on the frozen lake and white snow on the shore.

What was surprise, there was a rain during the night and the snow with the ice mostly disappered. Only this melting floe remained and sued on the vagaries of weather…
